biography

I work as an Art Director at Stopp in Stockholm.

My name is Tobias Svenlöv (I'm not Facebook friendly), but I use Mike Speero as an alter ego. I'm a creative who does a little bit of everything. Marketing, art, concept development, identity, typography, video editing and apps for mobile devices etc.

I was the first Swede ever to be drafted to the acclaimed KDU collective.

I've worked for Your Majesty in New York as a designer squire 2011 Mars - 2011 August.

I'm also a co-owner of a start-up company called Kimuke Labs and we're working on a special service that will be launched soon.

I'm trying to learn how to make some music. I've only done 2 tracks. My first ones, so it's not that good. The style is unknown for me. Haven't heard anything like it so I don't really have a clue how they came out like that.

When I'm not working or learning something I try to relax a little with my PS3 and right now it's Mass Effect 3 that's going crazy. I'm also a huge football fan. IFK Göteborg is the team in my heart! Thinking about playing again.

I also love to watch Tim Burton movies. Edward Scissorhands in particular (my cat is named after that character). I think I have around 10 different versions of that movie. Got some other collectibles as well. Not a collector hoarder though. I get the little things I really want to have. Planning on getting a tattoo sleeve with Alice in Wonderland theme on it. Have to save $10 000 to pull it off.

And how awesome won't Dark Shadows turn out? So looking forward to that movie. My dream is to be in one of Tim Burton's movies alongside with Johnny Depp for a minor role.

Be nice or he'll cut you. (Eddie Scissorpaws)

I also started collecting some domains for my future projects. Before the year ends I'm hoping to have 20 amazing domain names.

Contentary.com - Playlien.com - Millijoin.com - Airsway.com - Mapelo.com - Evertin.com - NevvFlow.com and Drubly.com.

Oh and yeah... my cat doesn't like Tim Burton, only Catwoman.

tron legacy

In 2010 I came up with a new music concept. Taking it one step further into the future. I was very close to actually making it big with this, but sometimes it just don't work out.

Tron: Legacy is a 2010 American science fiction film released by Walt Disney Pictures. A sequel to the 1982 science fiction film Tron, it is directed by Joseph Kosinski, produced by Tron director Steven Lisberger, and written by Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.

The cast includes the return of actors Jeff Bridges - as Kevin Flynn and CLU - and Bruce Boxleitner - as Alan Bradley and Tron - along with Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Beau Garrett, Michael Sheen, and James Frain.

The story follows Flynn's son Sam (Hedlund), who after responding to a message from his long-lost father is transported into a virtual reality called the Grid. In the Grid, Sam, his father, and the algorithm Quorra (Wilde), are forced to stop the malevolent program CLU from invading the human world.

The French electronic group Daft Punk composed the film score of Tron: Legacy, which features over 24 tracks. The score was arranged and orchestrated by Joseph Trapanese. Jason Bentley served as the film's music supervisor.

An electronic music fan, Kosinski stated that to replicate the innovative electronic Tron score by Wendy Carlos "rather than going with a traditional film composer, I wanted to try something fresh and different", adding that "there was a lot of interest from different electronic bands that I follow to work on the film" but he eventually picked Daft Punk.

This has nothing to do with Tron Legacy or Disney, it's just a concept.

spotify

Got a quick assignment to make my own version of the upcoming Spotify iPad app. Made this in 10 hours, but I still like it. It's very dark and simple.

Spotify is a music streaming service offering streaming of selected music from a range of major and independent record labels, including Sony, EMI, Warner Music Group, and Universal. Launched in October 2008 by Swedish startup Spotify AB, the service had approximately ten million users as of 15 September 2010, about 2.5 million of whom were paying members. As of March 2012, the service is available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Users can set up playlists and share them, or edit them together with other users (see collaborative software). For this purpose the playlist link can directly be dragged into an email or an instant messaging window. If the recipient follows the link, the playlist will be downloaded into the Spotify-client of the recipient. Downloaded playlists will then auto-update if the author adds or removes tracks. Like normal links, the playlist links can be used everywhere. The same principle also works for single tracks, which can be used via drag and drop on applications and websites at will. There are a number of websites for sharing of Spotify playlists and songs where users can share, rate and discuss them.

This has nothing to do with Spotify, it's just a concept.

condé nast

“We wanted a site that would be a dynamic and an engaging experience for clients and consumers alike,” said Mr. Townsend. “This redesign embodies the soul of today’s Condé Nast: its indispensible editorial, exceptional talent, cutting-edge client services and a legacy that is second to none.”

The redesign delivers clients and consumers a fresh, vibrant experience unlike any other corporate site in the industry. Aided by easy navigation, visitors can access a steady flow of editorial content in addition to enhanced company and brand details, advertising, licensing and partnership marketing information, career opportunities and talent features. The site also provides details about the Condé Nast Media Group’s divisions, capabilities, and multi-platform program case studies. The site was developed in conjunction with Your Majesty Co.
